Its our First day in Holland, Amsterdam where the soccer fever is very high because the Dutch team made it to the semi-finals and are ready to take on Uraguay on Tuesday evening. The streets are decorated orange, the national color of Holland and the radio, TV and everyone you meet talks only about one thing, the soccer game....
Todays a day simply dedicated to visiting family. Were all so excited to be back after 6 years, which was the last time we came here. After traveling to Hawaii last year, i thought i’d never see a place more beautiful than there! I was soo wrong! We walked to the top of a hill today that had a huge circular swing set. When you sit down on any of the swings you get a beautiful view of the whole city! It’s the most gorgeous view I’ve ever seen, its so hard to describe what we saw in words. We’ll post videos/pics as soon as possible.
I know you may think this place is picture perfect but ehh... one problem. I AM TIRED!!! I honestly dont think we’ve had a bit of sleep for the past 24 hours and most brain cells are not functioning write now.... We woke up around 7:00am, left Seattle at 12:00pm, stayed awake the entire 9 hour flight and arrived at Holland around 7:00 in the morning. We all were wide awake on the plane watching every movie Delta airlines had available so there was NO sleep. I regret that decision a lot now.
I dont know how were gonna be able to handle all this jetlag. But were having fun, I’m not gonna complain. Were so grateful to be experiencing what we are.
One more problem, we lost a luggage with one of our brand new laptop. I think it is Haben's fault since she was the one carring the luggage and left it at a location we stopped to take a picture. Everyone else thinks it is my fault because the luggage was assigned to me to take care of.... you tell me:-(
MORE UPDATES SOON!!
